The TV I enjoyed most in 2025 is Lin Jiang Xian. IT is solid enough on the aesthetics and costuming that I do not care about the dopey soundboard or any of the other flaws of the series. I love the bright fantastical palette, the excited wonder of a xianxia universe inhabited by a childlike, idiotic female protagonist that is constantly mocked and berated. I am tired of Western media’s washed out, colorless post production. However thin the plot, this series has sets that are stunning.
