I tried going on live stream in April 2024 for the first time. I still haven't been able to. I think that unless the essential app functionalities start working for more than a few desktop users who are techy to set up complex streaming the retention levels on #nostr will keep sucking. I guess maybe as long as it's functioning for the basics for incoming high crisis global collective situations it has a very real and essential purpose. But what can be done to focus our collective Nostr workforce of smoothing out the currently present infrastructure instead of vibe coding a gazzillion new clients?

That zap stream app was working on an older phone I was using, but I got a new phone and now it doesn't work for me either. Just a black screen when I press go live. You can try the shosho app, I heard tried it on my new phone.

Nostr is still new that apps are fully 100% working. Streaming from your desktop using OBS is more stable, unfortunately.
