Random thought: can a GPU perform calculations to verify bitcoin blocks and can GPUs do this faster than a CPU?

I’ve always wondered about resource constraints in bitcoin, especially during IBD…of course that’s a moving target depending on ISP, cpu, ram, disk, and gpu…but I’d love to see some sort of vector in this space (ISP, CPU, RAM,disk,GPU) that points towards fastest improvement in IBD…I’d suspect for a raspberry pi 3B with HDD, most of the vector would point along the CPU axis, but for an intel 13th generation core i7, is it worth upgrading the processor or moving the PCIE4 NVME SSD to Gen 5 PCIE?

might have an intuitive feel for this weird vector space.
