price reduces only if on the other side isn't someone taking the trade. one could argue because market cap is low, there are generally less people involved in the market, so the probability someone taking the trade is lower

it will if no one wants to buy. same argument could be made as before. the probability that no one wants to buy is lower the higher the market cap, because probably there are more market participants
