If they never could have won with a trillion dollars then they never should have raised money for trial and appeals. They basically defrauded the community, claiming they intended to go to trial and appeal, raising more than enough funds to do so, then pleading.
I’m not criticizing the plea. I’m criticizing the fraudulent fundraising, which would have been better put towards people who actually planned to fight cases to the end.
