What type of antenna?
Should they have two antennas, one for FM and one for AM?
If some of these questions lead to other questions, it's already more complicated than buying a CB rig before the FCC added FM.

The note I replied to claims the rules for CB have not changed, but they have.
Sure, you don't need to grovel for permission; but there are plenty of other complications due to the addition of, and possible migration to, FM.
Buying a CB radio is no longer a straight-forward process (if you plan on communicating with other CB users in your region).

You can also by a cheap ham radio before you get your license and listen to radio traffic. Just don't "key down". Some radios even have a function to disable the talk button.

I've seen people send pounds of cannabis flower through FedEx. I've heard of people using USPS too. It's not like they open each package, send the contents to a lab, etc.
Even if they x-ray, all they will see is herbal material. It could be tea, dye, culinary, etc. They have no way of knowing, and are too busy to care.

I know what hugelkultur is, and it's really great. At the same time, there's no way enough heat was produced (and for long enough) to grow a lemon tree etc in the snowy Alps. Anyone that composts knows this. If I'm wrong, I really want to know this guy's name, so I can learn more.
Regarding water consumption, again, it's going to depend on your climate, and what you're growing. If you're growing in an area with quick-draining soil, nearly anything will help with water retention. One of the best ways to store moisture is from mycellium, which is a part of hugelkultur, but can also exist without it.
If you live in an area that has very little water, you'd have to import logs. If you live in a place with plenty of trees/ logs, you probably don't need to worry about conserving water. If water conservation is a big concern in your region, a reservoir and rain catchment system is probably a better option.

My explanation is probably not accurate, but I think it comes down to the "instruction set" that is baked into the chip.
The CPU has instructions for managing the rest of your hardware (drives, RAM, keyboard, etc), and the data that travels between them.
A GPU has instructions do perform a lot of math.

This reminded me of a funny memory. A redneck dev that I worked with was given a company credit card for moments when the company needed to send him to client locations.
One night, while enjoying the only strip club within a few hundred miles, he ran out of money, and decided to use the company credit card.
After the club closed, he decided to mend his mistake by driving nearly two hours to the nearest casino to win enough money to cover his embezzlement. Of course, he maxxed out the card and had nothing.
The following Monday, he made his confession. Luckily for him, the company was in such bad financial shape that they had to keep him in order to recover. 🤣 He was also our top dev. Losing him would have lost a lot of knowledge about our software, etc.

I've intentionally avoided messing with relays. Partly because I'm lazy and don't want to review every &%@#* relay to figure out the differences, categories, and which ones I want most.
Initially, it was because I like to test software by acting like a normie. I flush out a lot of defects that way. If we expect non-technical people to use Nostr, it needs to be simple and straight-foward. This area (relays) is very far from that, and moving toward greater complexity.
If my experience gets too horrible, then I'll dive in to evaluate relays, and probably run my own relay too.

For me, I'd use a pipe cutter, new valve, and pvc glue, unless the pipes can't be shifted to meet up.
If that's the case, I'd add one of the flexible pvc pipes (for repairing pvc systems that can't be moved). This would also require a new piece of hard pvc pipe to exit the new valve so the flexi-pipe has something to fit onto.
Aside from the hardware store visit, the repair could probably be done in 30 minutes (not including cure-time for the glue).

Sometime in the 90's, US veterans were asked what their preferred weapon would be in a SHTF scenario.
The AR-15 was the top choice, which makes sense, since it was what most respondents were familiar with.
The second choice was "combat shotgun". WAY more versatile, and far deadlier when loaded with 00-buck or slugs.
As an aside, I read an article written by a combat medic that revealed some good info. He worked on people shot from either side, and said that he frequently was able to save people that were shot with .223/ 5.56 NATO (AR-15), but rarely was able to save people shot by .308 (AR-10) or 7.62 x 39 (AK-47).
