Unfortunately true, but “scientific method” has no relation to the said scientists. Science is all about continuous discovery and update of knowledge through experiments and research. Just because there are a few bad apples, doesn’t mean the whole crop is spoiled

I disagree. Show me a single nip or client that will allow me to process uploaded media asynchronously. There is none that I am aware of, all need hash to be returned immediately

What is the issue? Big files will inherently have issues, we do not transcode. There is absolutely no need for a five minutes video to be anywhere close to 1.6GiB. HD movies (fully featured movies) can fit in that size at top notch quality. 4K 5M video should be very much under 400MiB.

I was about to post a not to mark the second year of my Lightning node, just to notice that one of my oldest channels ( @npub1hcw…h9rq ) was force closed due to timed out HTLC. Fuck 🤣
Anyway, it has been two years since my node routed its first transaction. Since then, it has routed 190K transactions and over 130 BTCs. It survived about 6-8 upgrades, 2 database deletions (I replicate to at least 2 nodes), and maintained 99.5% uptime (estimated). Eclair is the only LN implementation I trust now. Hoping for more years of routing and growth of the LN network 🚀🚀🚀⚡️⚡️⚡️
