I never questioned the root competitive drive or the fitness (of any time type) that comes from disciplining one's self in the pursuit of excellence, or even having an admiration and appreciation for others doing that (especially, like Stella points out, family).

Meh. F1 hasn't been good for nearly two decades, ever since they started turning it into an economy car race. Sure the cars are faster, but I want wilder cars not locked down by dumb rules. I want crazy aero. I want everything from tiny turbo engines to monster NA engines running at the same time. I want crazy eight wheeled vehicles. I want nutty drivetrain configurations. I want mostly electric systems competing against diesel engines.

I've pretty much settled on a Kobo libra color.
The primary reason is that both the memory (standard microSD card!) And battery are easily replaceable, and Kobo supplies other parts through ifixit.
I really do like/prefer the form-factor and features of the PocketBook brand, so... That's the choice to make: repairability or sexiness. In this case, repairability is probably going to win, along with better screen drivers from what I've seen (though the larger 7.8" screen on the InkPad 3 seems to be rather well done).

It's a slowly evolving technology. I'm not sold on the current state of it, but... I honestly find it appealing except for the fact that most of ye ereaders that are Color right now are not as good as B&W without the illumination being used, with one exception (mostly) being the Kindle Colorsoft, and in a massive difference, the Kindle Scribe Color, but that's so far out of my budget and size requirements, it isn't something I will ever buy.

No more than 3 for your inbox and outbox relays.
You can use one of the same or a different one as an aggregator in a client like amethyst.
You can (and should) set a local relay.
A search relay can be different.
A DM relay can be different.
So that's up to 7.

Hello, fellow readers!
I'd like to ping the hivemind about e-ink screened e-readers. I'm looking to get an e-reader. A few requirements I've narrowed down:
-not android (I don't need another chinesium android powerhog)
-can easily sideload epubs and comic files
- decent PDF performance
- 2+ week. Battery life (bare minimum 1 week)
-7+ inch screen (but 10" is probably too big) since this WILL be used to read a lot of manga and 6" and smaller screens are just not so good for that (but if someone makes a case for a 6" reader with compelling cost/features, I'd consider it)
-preferably under $300usd
-preferably physical page turn buttons
Some contenders:
PocketBook InkPad 3 Color (more than allocated budget)
PocketBook Era (b&w or color)
Kobo Libra color (seems to be repairable!)
A jailbroken Kindle ColorSoft (this is a bit tricky, as the colorsoft model may not be able to stay jailbroken yet, and I'm not going to bother with a regular kindle since the other options are much less appealing)
The xteink x4 (much smaller than target size but cheap, interesting, and has a community firmware already)
Anyone have any other thoughts? I'm not sold on the current crop of color displays, though it gives a rally really retro newsprint comic feel that I like (from reviews). I think I want to be able to install koreader on the device (again, recommended from reviews)
