Our second in person concert under the #thunderroadmedia has concluded at #BoostBeach. This photo was taken by Mission Mommy, and it's been my favorite of the set so far.

Hanging on the signs were two hidden callouts to ultimate freedom. The first being the Straw Hat, a symbol of the Sun and hearts beating to the Drums of Liberation. The second, a pair of heart shaped glasses given as a gift by the #demu #star @nprofile…q52m. Self hosting is freedom to perform, to produce, to put out. This show was a value for value production. It was made possible by those who stepped forward to help bring to #life the #art they wanna see. These shows would not be what they are if it wasn't for her work and especially @nprofile…rk2h for seeing the vision. His and I conversation today has cemented a new mantra going forward that I cant wait to see come to life.

This might be one of my favorite shows yet. The boost elements gained here will last a light time. We’ve reached the point where if we can give it electricity, we can make it boostable. This crew is out of this world. We must save a big nut up for a while production level wise, however I see a clear path forward. More house shows with these elements integrated is what I’d like to see like the bowl. And soundscapes too. The published version will get worked on soon and will have a dubbed explainer of some capacity explaining the technical elements of the show. We had an excellent time, being in the space felt surreal. The camera work really tied the experience together. It’s a big day for garage rock.

I save and download the updated feed (even in instances when new songs are added) over top of the file on my desktop. From there, I locate the file on the dreamhost website and upload/replace the old file. The xml filename must match exactly as the prior name. From there podping and you'd be set.

yes. If I went and found a live sports game, turned on OBS with screen capture, updated the BTS feed to live with the correct streaming link added (in this case it would be cloudflare), the game would show up in podcasting 2.0 apps.

In total, we've have had 19 bands from three countries. There's been 8 animated MC's, with 6 boost babes. The run time of all productions is approximately 13 and a half hours of #hobbyist #driven #entertainment . It's a big day for #garage #rock as the total amount of #sats split between the bands and crew came out to 8.4 million. For a years worth of work, couldn't be happier with the overall show.

BTS and B4TS are hosted with Podserve, but I submitted a self hosted feed to the index for both shows. At some point I want to get off Podserve but I don’t have the required smarts to make that transition easy.
Thunder Road Media is hosted on cloudflare, but if you are gonna do consistent video uploads it could get expensive. @npub1zm9…092t and @npub1yvg…6pv9 were able to get video hosted using bunnycdn I think it was? There’s a tutorial video floating around somewhere.
For the music I host for people, that all goes on my dreamhost account using Wordpress to manage the uploads.

with all the shit you can do with boost triggers, I’d like to work towards doing more themed out concerts. Build a set, work in special effects triggered by producers from home. Big enough space for an intimate crowd.
I think Dr M.O.O.K.Y.-Stein and the Electric Keep or Survival Guide playing to an ungodly amount of boostable fire flickering light bulbs would be sick as shit. Go back to those Alice Cooper root levels of stage production.

Having the two audio techs is nice, that’s something we’re in pretty desperate need for future shows. I have a good friend of mine who’s in the industry and owns a behringer x32. At this point we have all the gear and a killer space (two actually) but finding local acts who are available is difficult.
For size (very small footprint and produces quality video) look into these Marshall cameras. I forget which model I have exactly.

Outside of that, tech wise I think it was great. Most of the things I would recommend are related to the RSS side of stuff. I would definitely encourage yall to try out the split kit to build a live watch page that includes chat, scoreboard, buttons to boost bands directly at any point stuff like that.

Shit has been, uhhh just a whirlwind these past days, weeks? While in the midst of sorting thru box after box after box I stumbled across something that sucked the words right outta my mouth, struggling to understand what I was lookin at. I toured Broadway shows for just under a decade, and to mitigate losing a mind in a hotel room I would try to check out as much local music as possible. Even if the music wasn’t something I was particularly into I’d try to pick up at least a cd to support the bands. Spoiler alert, there’s a lot of cds hanging out around here.
This one however, just sunk it in that this is uhhhh I don’t even know the words.
This is a CD from Survival Guide, I don’t know where I saw her perform. I don’t know when. But it’s opened, and signed. Meaning we had a direct interaction after the show. If I had to guess this was sometime between 2015-2019.

Fast forward to within the past two years. Survival Guide has two fantastic albums available on an RSS feed, and we had the pleasure to work with her on The Satellite Skirmish: Autumn Rust (spoiler alert she won and now I’m dying to get this led sign made for her). This all happened not even knowing that I had the chance to see her perform live once before, pre boo-bury.
I’ve felt longing for the synchros and holy shit, talk about a deliverance.

Here's a small data point. For me personally, 10% is high but whatever. If people wanna play that that's their prerogative. 10% of 4655 feeds with a whole contingent of nostr influencers focused on funneling people thru their pipes...it just becomes noise to me. LNBeats is the only web app I use for music and it's solely because of the DeMu button.

If, you choose to pull your music there's one thing to keep in mind. The value time splits work by utilizing a GUID tag in your RSS feed. You'll want to preserve those GUIDs (aka copy them and put them in your feeds) so that any songs featured on a podcast can maintain its value time split to you. There's a feed level GUID and a GUID for each track. Go to https://podcastindex.org/search?q=ser%20sleepy&type=all click on one of your albums, view RSS feed, and do a search for a GUID to see what Im talking about.
I've only done it once, back when I pulled Rusty Gate from Wavlake and self hosted the feed. That was a couple years ago at this point so Im a little fuzzy on how the process works. I can ask tho if you want to do this.
My biggest, baddest, and boldest (this is not professional advice) is by far swing by the Zeronode IRC some time. It's where a lot of hobbyist podcasters and musicians congregate and Podcasting 2.0 (the actual show) hosts it chatroom there. A lot of the names in this thread are in there and it's way easier to talk stuff thru there, just ask @npub1zm9…092t

The stream is bound together from the words of our narrator “The Artist”. @npub1f49…zpez guides the journey between canvases with his poetry. On the pages in the book of before and then, @npub1prf…5e55 and @npub1yvs…wzdu lie waiting to pop alive on the paper, reporting on select boosts as our Boost Babes.
For that sublime fairytale feel, laying down the tracks of fairytale dreams for underscore, intro, and credit music is @npub109p…5aaj , @npub1vwy…xxv5 and lavish. Their melodies effortlessly effervesce providing the soft lullabies we may cushion into between band sets.

Putting pen to tablet, pen to paper, stamp to card, and composition to render a new bevvy of artists have joined the fold. Sharpie, with her many faceted contributions has given life to our boost babes, and hot air balloon to whimsically carry us away into the show. PrivateBrowsing has provided her drawing skills for our new Threshold Boosts (more on that later), producers will bring forth crowns of value. Litebrite with her video editing skills provides detailed and unique art for the band logos during the stream, and my mother Momma-Bury is here stamping away on the Boost Cards (more on that later too!).

It’s been said that without a crew, a cast would be found naked and alone, emoting in the dark. To that I would say, I’ll take two.
Returning superstars inject pure magick into the stream. @npub1yvg…6pv9 with his wizardry continues to dial in the Split Kit in ways that will melt your mind. @npub1gfh…alqc conjures forth blooming flowers denoting new boosts arriving. He has a flower arrangement based off the last digit in a boost, 0-9. There’s another special floral number one can call on (with that end of day vibe if you know what I mean…). What I am most excited for is the new concept of threshold boosts! Producers will see special and unique art every time a certain threshold is met! You are the crown now dawg! Each boost comes with a card showing name and amount from the producer, and once again thank you Momma-Bury and PrivateBrowsing for helping put those together!!

Frankiepaint dives thru the archives building a book of escapades, acting as our transition to the boost babes. Her filmography work will also be put on display as she films the location at the lake where the stream takes place. ChadF, CEO of the Free and Open Internet, runs these streets getting the word at the store of value being built here. Matt Bigelow from the Land of The Rising Sun lends his voice as part of the introduction, subtitles will be provided.
Cannabis Records is here for the first time, providing the contacts for M.O.O.K.Y. and The Trusted. @npub12q9…70wm, @npub13cn…kzpe and co.’s weekly contributions to #demu show that the artists are alive and here! Making magick happen!
