That zap stream app was working on an older phone I was using, but I got a new phone and now it doesn't work for me either. Just a black screen when I press go live. You can try the shosho app, I heard tried it on my new phone.

hmm, I suspect that is what primal's goal is. To take the most marketshare then as nostr keeps getting more and more popular, people won't say, join nostr, they will say join primal. Then primal will continue to get bigger and bigger and they will have more control over nostr bringing the flood of users to use primal and not clients like amethyst.
Then most of the primal users will only see other primal users closing out the other users who are not using primal.
I can't recommend primal because they ask you for your personal information like name address etc. It's just going backwards, like using Facebook. They might gain and overall marketshare but eventually they will wont win. They already have a bad reputation.

Here’s an example of why you shouldn’t rely on only one relay. Club Orange was using only the Primal relay, and for the longest time their profile wasn’t showing up correctly. I kept wondering where they went, since I used to see them posting notes often. Instead, I kept seeing this strange profile with no picture or information. I thought, How did this spam profile get into my network? I couldn’t see any details and had no idea who it was.
Eventually, I took the time to investigate further and realized it was actually the Club Orange profile. I told them about the issue, they added more relays, and now I can see their full profile properly.
I really wish relays were “smart” instead of “dumb”—able to communicate with each other and sync our notes across relays. That way, we’d only need to add one main relay instead of many.
Unfortunately, that’s not how Nostr works, so we have to add multiple relays. It’s annoying, but necessary.

This is what I have been seeing for weeks. I wasn't sure who it was until I started doing an investigation and realized it was club orange. I tried to broadcast your notes to more relays and it won't let me. Very strange.
I heard the nostr wine relay is good because most real people are using it and there isn't any spam. The nostr 21 relay is only 21sats. There is some other good paid relays. It's confusing understandijg relays. You can use the free ones too but they have spam. I'm not sure which ones are good. I just added a few paid and few free ones.

Not sure if they are actual spammers trying to look legit or whoever isn't running it, has no idea how to make good posts and never learned correct marketing. I unfollowed them for now until they improve themselves or we find out the truth but from your investigation it doesn't sound like a legit npub.

Almost 2 years on nostr and my notes are supposedly taking up only 144 MB, that's about 72MB a year. That's not bad.
My images and videos are at about 5GB but I rarely post videos because I host my own stuff and I'm certain I will run out of space. I wish there was a way I could cheaply host my daily streams which are 5GB every stream. We need a breakthrough in HD technology so I can store all my streams which after a year would be 1,825 GBs

It’s annoying when a country’s leader writes posts in a language that isn’t the country’s main language. They should have a separate profile strictly for English. We have the same issue in Canada, where politicians post in both English and French. Some of them even write every post in both languages.
In Canada, they at least have an excuse, since French is the second official language—but even then, it’s still annoying. I don’t like or agree with having two official languages in one country.
One great thing about Nostr is that you can easily create multiple profiles without any hassle or cost. You can’t really do that on other social media platforms.
Has Trump written posts in Spanish? No in fact Washington has scaled back in writing Spanish posts since Trump came in which is a good thing.

What do you all think about this type of advertising? Users can pay a bunch of sats and they send mass advertisements via zaps for you.
It sounds interesting. It's doesn't make me angry like regular advertisements, and normally I do check the domain that is being advertised.
I think the biggest positive is that nostr is still quite tiny and the quality of notes and companies making things are high quality. So we haven't got any of the junk companies advertising on other social medias.
I haven't tried their website. I might try it in the future to see how to works. I'll send a funny msg or something.

Today I started following Nostr Magazine, but later the same day I had to unfollow them. They were posting the same notes multiple times every day just to reach people in different countries. I find that spammy and annoying.
They said it's their strategy. I think they should create multiple profiles to target different regions. And honestly, most people in China speak Chinese, not English so trying to win over China with English notes is not going to win anything.
If you’re a company, you should start by targeting people in your native language and a limited number of countries. You’re not going to win the whole world right from the start.
Stop trying to reach non-English speakers with English. That audience is tiny and usually not worth the effort.
That’s my marketing advice.
I might follow them again in the future if things change. Their username is interesting, though:

I signed up to it recently because I was testing out simulcast and I liked the wallet. It's very simple. The only issue was when I logged in it automatically gave me a coinos address and changed my lightning address everywhere and other profile stuff. I had to change it back on amethyst, but it's a good wallet, I'm still using it.

I think I've only bought one or two apps my whole life. I don't remember them but I think it was to unlock my phone and to scan Chinese letters with my camera.
Most apps are free. There's really no reason to buy apps and I don't want my money going to corporations. Another annoying thing is everyone wants to charge subscription example, 10usd a month. That's too expensive for an app but most of all. Can't pay with lightning.

I have 9,745 thousand Kind 5 which are deletion events. I purged them and they keep coming back because the relays are "dumb"
I wish they were "smart" and synced/talked to each other so i could send a mass signal to delete them off all relays.
I don't know how i ended up with that many deletion events. I think it's from making typos then deleting re-writing notes. I don't want them because it's taking up space.

I don't understand anything when I vibe code. I'm just copying and pasting. It was fun at first but then it got annoying.
If it's just a small website vibe coding is good enough, but if it's a big project I would just hire someone to do it for me. Vibe coding is too much headaches.

If you are watching a stream hosted by the primal stream npub. Take note that your zaps will be going to that primal npub and not the streamer. Not sure if primal or users using primal stream know that.
I believe it's a event tag issue. I ran into the same problem when testing my zap stream backend. I didn't realize the zaps were going to the host npub wallet and not my wallet.
Zappers should know this too, so you know where your zaps are going. Now, I'm not 98% sure if this suspicion but I believe that it's a mistake or it's possible primal setup some sort of zap forward when using their stream? I haven't tested primal's stream backend yet.

Maybe someone can confirm this but if you zap the stream the zaps go to the primal npub and not the walker npub. Does primal have some sort of zap forwarding? I'm seeing this because owner is primal and not walker.
I've seen this else where and can't figure out how this work. I think it has something to do with tags.

Yes, it’s useful.
I believe I’ve seen a similar feature on Discord. The first time I saw it, I didn’t fully understand how it worked, but after looking into it, it made sense. I often check the profiles of people who appear, and I recognize many of them because they use the same avatar they have on Nostr.
I think streamers would find this useful. Some may choose to interact with a viewer when they enter the room, and viewers might also enjoy seeing their username or avatar appear on screen, which can encourage interaction.
A simple list of viewers currently watching the stream, showing their avatars, would be a good approach.

How does zap work solve this?
I remember open bazzar, when you bought something from someone the Bitcoin was locked, and third party moderators would release it when the receiver said they received it. If the receiver said they didn't get the item. The moderator would have to investigate the issue and award the money to whoever wasn't lying.

I just know you post a job and then hire someone, I'm guessing you deal with the person and zap work didn't get involved? It's complicated hiring someone online. I had issues on that freelancer . com site because too many scammy Indians. I ended hiring a Russian who was really good. We worked offline which was illegal by freelancer but it worked out well. He did the job then I paid him. I have hired many people but they reviews are important. I would hire on nostr too, just check out their profile.

I don't remember that. I remember a site where you could pay 1 penny per pixel and you could write whatever you wanted in that pixel, your website url etc
And visitors would click on your pixel, whoever paid the most for pixels would have the biggest pixel size.

hmm this would be cool, I use the software voicemod while live streaming. It has tons of different voices and it's fun. I wonder if I can use that software on mobile, I know they have an app. Maybe I can request to them to make it compatible with nostr.
I'll have to try it out, but your idea would be amazing and fun. Also if AI could also make write the text so we could listen to the voice and read the text at the same time would be nice because some voices are hard to understand without text.

really good site, we can see that nostr is still quite small but growing organically. It's good because nostr won't grow fast like X or other sites, because those sites and most of the interest is fake. Real people don't use X or most of the social media sites because deep down inside the know it's all fake. If they internet magically got rid of all the fairness we'd end up with tiny internet traffic.

I was chatting with a streamer on Twitch, and my message was censored when I used the word “zigger.” Twitch didn’t provide any explanation, they simply blocked the word.
There’s nothing wrong with the word zigger. Anyone can look up the definition themselves. This kind of unexplained censorship is exactly why decentralized platforms matter.
Nostr will eventually beat all of these corporations, because Nostr isn't centralized and doesn’t have the ability to censor it's users.

I signed up to rumble wallet to investigate and check out the features , in about a month my wallet suddenly turned to "unavailable due to your location or a temporary review of your account"
Luckily I never had any money in it. Typical of corporations, deactivating your account like always without explanation.

Zap Work is an interesting website.
I signed in with a nostr extension and they seem to already scored my profile. It seems I have a combined trust score of 71.
It will be an excellent website once it starts getting busy with jobs. I'm ready to work for sats. 🫡

that's why I don't like traveling. Trying to get money out to use in the country you are traveling is complicated. Some countries don't have enough money, broken ATMs, no ATMs etc

sendgrid is owned by twilio, twilio is a public company controlled by Black Rock, so I'm not surprised they are against Trump & the USA.
Don't give them your money and don't use anything twilio.

Is this only available for official zap stream backends? I tired it on a non-zap stream backend and it didn't function. I'll have to test on an official zap stream backend soon.

Profiles have to enable tipping and it's actually just the old traditional system of a donation button on a profile. It's lame and boring. I doubt most people will just it. They should of added tipping on each individual video. Like a zap system.
I haven't actually tried it, I have no interest in tipping with on-chain Bitcoin plus barley any channels have enabled tipping. Rumble is boring and they keep annoying me with a premium plan which is way too expensive and I already use ad blockers.

I downloaded it a long time ago, it was weird because I had to link it to my rumble account. It wouldn't let me sign in so eventually I realized I had to download the rumble app as well.
I only follow like 2 podcasts on rumble. I've seen countless people on rumble but they get no traction. Rumble is really boring.
Ya, the wallet has no lighting, just USDT, XAUT and Bitcoin on-chain. It's needs a lot of work, maybe someday it will get there but YouTube is still where everyone is.
