Yes I think we agree 😂. That's why I mentioned the demand side, it's the same thing you are talking but on a more generalized scale.
Price is always supply and demand. In the moment a single one of these sales occurs, there is a set number of people wanting to buy. In a higher market cap, demand is higher because, averaged out, there is more likely to be buying at that moment. What matters to the price most is how the trade changes the proportion of supply to demand in that moment (and of course how the resulting change in price goes on to affect future demand, etc).
